Home Energy Assessment Cost

Residential

Our cost for a residential energy audit is $400 per building. All home energy audits now qualify for a federal $150 tax incentive on that year’s taxes, lowering the effective rate to $250 per building. This home energy audit includes a blower door test, infrared camera assessment, and visual inspections of critical areas and appliances. We recommend a homeowner is present while we do the physical inspection. Within a week of the physical inspection, we will provide you a report containing photos, results, and recommendations. In the report we will also try to note important incentives that may save you further money on any projects you undertake. Note: we do not provide any construction services.

Commercial

For commercial properties we charge $1,500 per building. We can perform up to an ASHRAE Level 2 Energy Audit. This will include assessing past energy costs and a physical inspection. Within a week of the physical inspection we will provide a report that recommends various upgrades along with an economic evaluation of each of those recommendations.

We are willing to travel outside of the greater Lander area, but it may incur a travel fee to cover expenses. This will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
